Whether you require a gym, a teenager's hangout, bar, office, yoga room or just extra space to bring the outdoors in, then you have come to the right place. We have a stylish and affordable range of options to suit every requirement.

Beautifully designed and crafted, our SIP's Garden Rooms and Buildings are planning-friendly, custom-insulated garden rooms. Our friendly, experienced team are here to help.

Why not team them with our composite deck and balustrade ranges for that stylish finish.

SIP
GARDEN BUILDINGS & ROOMS

A Structurally Insulated Panel (SIPs) System, is one of the highest calibres of construction methods available, and certainly the best choice for garden rooms. The build method has distinct advantages over timber frame building systems, and all other log cabins/garden shed construction methods.

What are the key benefits of SIPs?

  • The building is manufactured off-site and “flat-pack” garden room is delivered ready for quick and efficient construction.

  • The minimal requirement for heating as high insulating properties provide incredibly low U values, down to 0.11w/m2K.

WHAT ARE SIP'S BUILDINGS?

What are SIPs?

SIPs are formed using two sheets of Orientated Strand Board (OSB), sandwiching a rigid core of expanded polystyrene or injected polyurethane.

Structural Insulated Panels are manufactured off-site and delivered as an instant and build ready to construct onsite.

SIP's offer the highest levels of Thermal Performance of any readily available, off-site manufactured building material.

Our SIP buildings are bespoke and built to the clients specific measurements and requirements.

 SIP'S PANELS
TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Our SIPs Panels come in the standard size of 1.220m wide panels and are available in various lengths: 2.440m, 2.700m & 3.000m. The SIPs panels can be cut to produce a panel size specific to your bespoke building plan.

SIP's Panels are cut to ensure the most efficient use of the panels to avoid as much waste as possible to keep your garden build as cost-effective.

SIP's panels are commonly produced in thickness sizes: 100mm, 125mm, 150mm & 175mm.

If required, SIP's panels arealso available 200mm, 225mm & 250mm thickness

Different thicknesses of SIPs panels can be used to provide the most energy-efficient combination to suit your garden building needs.

SIPs (structurally insulated panels) can be used with a variety of internal & external finishes, including render.

UNDERSTANDING U-VALUES

The thermal efficiency of a SIPs building is maintained throughout the building's life. SIPS Panels offer one of the highest levels of Thermal Performance of any readily available, off-site manufactured building material.

SIPs panels closed-cell foam panels prevent moisture ingress from degrading the insulation performance, this can occur with mineral wools and blown cellulose fibre products.

Our SIPs Garden rooms will give energy savings of 40%-60% compared to a timber-framed building of equal size and insulation U- value.

U-Value Definition is a measure of air-to-air heat transmission (loss or gain) due to thermal conductance and the difference in indoor and outdoor temperatures, in relation to an area of material, expressed as w/m2k (Watts per Square Metre Kelvin).

The lower the U-Value, the better the level of Insulation is.

As the U-Value decreases, so do the amount of heat transferred through the material.

Thickness: 100 U-Value: 0.27

Thickness: 125 U-Value: 0.21

Thickness: 150 U-Value: 0.17

Thickness: 175 U-Value: 0.14

Thickness: 200 U-Value: 0.12

Increasing thickness increases thermal performance however the improvement in U-Value begins to diminish.

By improving the building energy design you can take advantage of such things as thermal mass and solar gain. This can prevent increased cost and still achieve the desired level of thermal performance and energy efficiency.
